In the US alone, more than 190,000 people are diagnosed with brain tumors every year.
Matt Anthony established the Head for the Cure Foundation after his brother Chris succumbed to a brain tumor in 2003. The Foundation honors Chris’ memory and raises funds and awareness for brain cancer research through runs, walks, and rides. To date, Head for the Cure has raised over $10 million, largely benefiting the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, an organization of physicians at more than 23 renowned medical centers.
