Confident City Cycling
KC’s most comprehensive adult bike training offered over three separate evening sessions. Participants learn new concepts for navigating streets and build practical bike handling skills necessary for city riding. The course culminates with an on-street ride to use new skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Maintain Your Ride
A series of hands-on workshops equips the casual rider with the skills and confidence to repair their own bikes. Sign up for the whole series or pick individual sessions. Topics may include:
- Fix-A-Flat: Tires, tubes, tape
- Drivetrain: Chain, cassette removal, cleaning and lubing
- Derailleurs: cable tension, limit screws
- Brakes: cable tension, brake pad adjustment and replacement
- Wheel Truing: spoke tension concepts and practice

Lunch and Learn
This session fits perfectly into the workplace lunch hour. We discuss bike, pedestrian, and driver safety to help employees explore new transportation options. Our expert staff will tailor this class to fit your needs and interests. To top this off, we will come to you.

Women-Focused
The Women Bike KC Initiative provides women-focused sessions of our Maintain Your Ride and Confident City Cycling series twice per year. Women Bike KC supports bicycling enjoyment, skill, and safety for women, trans, femme, and non-binary people of all ages. Become a Cycling Instructor
Occasionally, BikeWalkKC hosts a multi-day training to become a Licensed Cycling Instructor with the League of American Bicyclists. Learn more about the LCI program.
