Who rides bikes? The crowd at the Tour de Bier 2018 Kick-Off Party might give you a hint: brewers, financial planners, attorneys, marketers, writers, philanthropists, community organizers, bankers, mechanics, and more!

Denesha Snell and Mitchell Williams of KC Sporting Events flank BWKC executive director Eric Rogers.
The event, hosted by Buttonwood Financial and Buttonwood Art Space, offered guests an opportunity to meet their fellow Tour de Bier supporters and learn more about BikeWalkKC’s mission to promote active living in the Kansas City metro. KC Bier Company, a Tour partner, provided samples of their Helles lager while BikeWalkKC staff presented information on BikeWalkKC’s education programs, WomenBikeKC initiative, and advocacy work.
Representatives from several Tour de Bier partner breweries were on hand to share their enthusiasm for bikes as well as their love of beer. Brewery stops participating in 2018 include Big Rip, Brewery Emperial, Cinder Block, Crane, Double Shift, Green Room Burgers and Beer, KC Bier Co, Torn Label, and new-to-the-scene Strange Days Brewing. Boulevard Brewing and Tallgrass Brewing, will be pouring beer at the Knuckleheads finish line.

BWKC board member Leslie Pories catches up with ultra-volunteer Bob Omer and Cycling KC Webmaster Barbara Wiesner.
We are so grateful to our Tour de Bier sponsors, partners, and volunteers! The individuals, businesses, and organizations that make this ride possible value active living in Kansas City, and commit their time and resources to making Kansas City an even better place to live.
