Safer streets are possible, but we need your help

We’ve come a long way, but the work is far from over

Give now to help us fight for safer streets

Automobile crashes are on the rise across the KC metro. Over the last five years, our region has averaged 233 crash-related deaths and 1200 serious injuries per year. In 2020, over 100 people have died in auto crashes in KCMO alone. We believe these deaths are preventable and safer streets are possible.

BikeWalkKC is proud to lead the charge for active transportation policy in our metro. Already this year, we’ve seen progress on both sides of the state line, with several municipalities passing Complete Streets and Vision Zero measures. But this is just the beginning. Our priorities in 2021 include:

  • Vision Zero Action Plan in KCMO
  • Complete Streets throughout the region
  • Safe Routes to School Summit
  • Missouri Livable Streets
  • Distracted Driving Legislation in Missouri

Your gift amplifies our voice in city halls and school districts throughout the region, strengthening coalitions of families, neighborhoods, and agencies demanding safer streets. Will you join the fight?
