Big news: we’re moving! We are excited to announce that we will be moving our headquarters to the Troost Corridor this summer.
BikeWalkKC will join other businesses and residents in the Wonder Lofts building, located at 1108 E. 30th Street in Kansas City, MO.
Formerly the home of the Wonder Bread Bakery and store (originally built as the Campbell Baking Company in 1915), the historic site will be the new home of BikeWalkKC, including spaces for events, classes and community events, and of course, a bike share station.
The building will also include commercial tenants and 86 apartments.
“We are particularly enthusiastic about this location as it is central to our KC BCycle system and many of our clients, stakeholders, and partners,” says Eric Rogers, BikeWalkKC executive director. “BikeWalkKC will join Kansas City Public Schools, Operation Breakthrough, RideKC’s Troost MAX, the Kansas City Health Department, and other partners in this vibrant neighborhood. So many exciting things are happening all along the Troost Corridor, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
Construction is now underway, with the move scheduled for later this summer. Stay tuned for more details soon!
