This week Blue Springs became the seventh metro community with a Complete Streets policy, the simple yet powerful idea that all streets should safely include walkers, bicyclists, children, people with disabilities, seniors – as well as motorists.
Today more than 900,000 people, or 45% of the metro area, live in a city with Complete Streets or Livable Streets policies. Greater Kansas City is making great progress towards our vision of 75% in Complete Streets city.
The Missouri Bicycle and Pedestrian Federation has more on Blue Springs’ new policy.
