Spring 2016 has seen BikeWalkKC’s Youth Education team working double time delivering our most popular youth program, BLAST. From 2015 to 2016 our number of schools increased from 7 to 16 and the number of students more than doubled from 579 to over 1200!
Our 2016 Summer programming is just as loaded, as we are partnering with many youth and adult groups to bring a combination program of BLAST and Earn-A-Bike with an expected bicycle giveaway hovering near 120 bikes.
Some of the organizations we are partnering with include the Kansas City Public School District, LINC, North Kansas City School District, Operation Breakthrough, Hope Faith Ministries, Samuel U Rodgers Health Center, the Kansas City Public Library and the Northeast Farmer’s Market.
BikeWalkKC would like to extend a hearty THANK YOU if you have recently donated a bike to our organization. Without your consideration, our programs would not be as successful or as popular as they are.
