World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
November 12 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is an international event honoring the millions of lives lost in traffic violence around the world, and to acknowledge the suffering of the victims, families, and communities affected. Join us for a conversation with Amy Cohen about honoring those we’ve lost by taking action to make our streets safer for everyone.
After her 12-year-old son Sammy was killed in 2013, Amy Cohen joined with others and helped found Families for Safe Streets (FSS). FSS confronts traffic violence by advocating for life-saving changes and providing support to those personally affected by crashes in our communities.
This event is FREE, but you must register to get the link.
Similar to many non-profits and small businesses, BikeWalkKC’s financial sustainability has been threatened by the COVID-19 outbreak. If you are able to, please consider making a donation or purchasing a membership for yourself, your household, or your organization. Any amount helps, and we appreciate your support at this difficult time.
