Women+ Confident City Cycling

NOW A VIRTUAL CLASS
Take KC by the handlebars!
In this online, video-based course for women, trans, femme, and non-binary folks, you’ll learn state and local rules for urban bicycling and then take what you learned practice in riding on your own.
- Part 1: Thursday, April 23 from 6-9PM Learn about bicycle facilities, how to drive around bikes/bike around cars, etc. Webinar format– video presentation and discussion. After the webinar, learn safe riding habits from our videos and practice confident bicycling in your driveway, on the street, at a park, or in an empty parking lot. Watch the videos and practice riding on your own time.
- Part 2: Thursday, April 30th, 6-7 Check in from home! Join us for a virtual happy hour and bring us your questions and comments from your week of riding practice. Video call format.
NOTE: Interested in becoming a League Cycling Instructor? If you participate in all elements, this class is qualifies as a “Traffic Skills 101” prerequisite for the LCI Seminar. Contact us about setting up an assessment appointment to complete the requirements.
We usually charge $15 for our Confident City Cycling classes to help cover our costs, but in these particularly difficult times, we want everyone to get a chance to participate and learn these valuable skills. This class is FREE, but if you are able to, please consider making a donation.
