Join The Beacon to hear from a guest panel of experts and share your traffic stories at the Stop, Slow, Go! Listening Session.

If you are a motorcyclist, daily driver, pedestrian or someone who depends on public transportation this event is for you!

Join us to hear from a guest panel of transportation and urban planning experts and share your traffic related stories at our Stop, Slow, Go! Listening Session on Monday, August 26th from 5-7PM in the "Large Room" at The Plaza Public Library.

GUEST PANEL:

  • Michael Kelley- Policy Director at BikeWalk KC
  • Asia Dunmore- Pedestrian Advocacy
  • Eskew Jackson- Bus Operator and Union Representative at KCATA
  • Nic Miller- President at Amalgamated Transit Union
  • Bobby Evans- Transportation and Environment Principal Planner at MARC

Our hope is that your shared experiences can help shine a light on transportation and traffic related issues that aren't being talked about enough by local news.

RAFFLE:

  • If you register for this event before August 21st you will be entered in a raffle to win Beacon swag!

PARKING:

  • There is free public parking inside The Plaza Library parking garage.

PUBLIC TRANSIT:

  • The Main Max bus stop is right next to the library and nearby RideKC bus routes.
