Safe Routes to School
The Unified Government has partnered with BikeWalkKC since 2014 to support the USD 500 KCK and USD 202 Turner School Districts' efforts to get more kids walking and biking to school. We currently support multiple elementary schools as they develop Walking School Bus programs. Learn more.
Our four Local Spokes youth education programs teach kids the skills they need to bike and walk safely and confidently to school or around their neighborhood. Since 2012, we have served nearly 20,000 kids across the metro. Learn more.
Move Your Way
BikeWalkKC is working in partnership with the Wyandotte County Health Department and University of Kansas Medical Center, alongside several Wyandotte County agencies, to help promote the newly updated national Physical Activity Guidelines through activities, events, and online learning. Learn more.
