BikeWalkKC Programs and Activities
Youth Education
Our four Local Spokes youth education programs teach kids the skills they need to bike and walk safely and confidently to school or around their neighborhood. Since 2012, our programs have served thousands of kids at dozens of schools in the North Kansas City, Park Hill, and Kearney districts. Learn more.
Bike Share
Our RideKC Bike program now extends to the City of North Kansas City, offering smart, electric-assist and classic pedal bikes using a "lock-to/dockless" format. Locate and check out bikes using the RideKC Bike app, and finish your trip by locking the bike to any available bike rack/hub location identified in the app. Since 2012, bike share users have offset more than 100,000 pounds of carbon and burned more than 7.5 million calories.
Safe Routes to School
BikeWalkKC provides technical assistance and programs to schools and school districts to help them get more kids walking and biking to school. Learn more.
