Meet at: 192 W 62 Terrace in Kansas City, MO (Trolley Trail Entrance)

We will ride in a slow, silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Over 90 bicyclists have been killed in the Kansas City area. The Kansas City ride will honor those and other bicyclists. The names of those who lost their lives while riding their bicycles will be read during a brief ceremony followed by ride protocol, safety instructions, and the ride.

Although cyclists have a legal right to ride on public streets and roads, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes unaware of the cyclists themselves. The Ride of Silence is a free event that asks its cyclists to remain silent. Held during National Bike Month, it aims to raise awareness of motorists, police, and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways.

Join the worldwide bicycling community for this important ride:  http://www.rideofsilence.org

Please do not part in Cosentino's Market lot. Use public parking or ride to the start.
