Make Tracks for Transit (BWKC Member Event)
June 8 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
This event is sold out, but the waitlist is open! The orange "Register Now" button will take you to Eventbrite, where you can click the red "Get Tickets" button to add your contact info to the waitlist and be automatically notified if a ticket becomes available.
All aboard for an insider view of KC Streetcar operations! BikeWalkKC members and their families are invited to tour KC Streetcar facilities and hear from and hear from the KC Streetcar team about how transit keeps Kansas City moving.
This is an exciting opportunity to tour the E. Crichton "Kite" Singleton Yard Streetcar Maintenance Facility and more, plus get updates on in-progress KC Streetcar extensions. Since this operational rail yard, as well as being under construction, safety is key:
- All ages are welcome and must follow guidance from KC Streetcar staff (that means grown-ups, too!)
- Please wear close-toed shoes
- You will be required to wear a safety vest (which will be provided to you) while in the maintenance facility
- Heads Up! You may be required to wear a hard hat
Make Tracks for Transit is open to BikeWalkKC members and their families, and space is very limited. Use your BikeWalkKC member code to access the hidden tickets! Need help with your member code? Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: The indoor KC Streetcar facilities are accessible for people with disabilities, but we may encounter some uneven terrain in the maintenance area and rail yard. Please contact KC Streetcar for details: email@example.com.
