East High School Bike Club student leader takes on the ultimate challenge
Since 2016, students in our East High School Bike Club have been learning how to bike safely and navigate our city streets to ride to school, summer jobs, and to visit friends and family. But EHS Bike Club is bigger than "just bikes"!
Class President and Bike Club veteran Kevin Beltran Gonzalez and his teacher Andrew Killen tackled 50 miles of the roughest, muddiest, hilliest terrain in the Midwest this summer at the Unbound Gravel race. Kevin rolled across the finish line with a big smile on his face and ambition to start a bike club at his college!
