On May 6th, schools around the metro area celebrated Bike to School Day. The BikeWalkKC team celebrated at Whittier Elementary School in the Old Northeast.
Thirty students biked to school at Whittier, and were joined by Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Councilmember Jermaine Reed, Superintendent Stephen Green, and Mac from the Missouri Mavericks. Big thanks to all of the elected officials, Principal Luis Hinojosa, and the team at LINC for giving the kids a great reception on Bike to School Day.
