BikeWalkKC is leading the effort to celebrate this worldwide event in the Kansas City region on October 9th, 2013. We are recruiting schools and helping to organize parents, educators, and community members.
There are many ways to participate in Walk to School Day, and year round!
- Start a Walking School Bus for kids to walk together with an adult
- Plan safe walking routes in your neighborhood
- Work with your city to improve a sidewalk, crosswalk, or stop light
- Drive part of the way and walk the last few blocks
