Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street approached BikeWalkKC to conduct a bike parking analysis for their downtown corridor. This analysis resulted in fifteen bike racks being strategically installed throughout downtown Lee’s Summit. These racks were placed in areas of greatest demand including in front of parks, restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, and the Amtrak Station.
These racks have been well received due to the custom Lee’s Summit branding incorporated into the hitch rack. These racks have helped fill a void, making biking a more practical option for visiting Lee’s Summit, while positioning area businesses to benefit from expanding multimodal transportation choices.
