Support the Family Bike Swap and future Bike Oasis

BikeWalkKC is introducing a family Bike Swap program! 

Kids grow quickly, and it’s a big task for caregivers to constantly research and buy the next bike. Instead of purchasing new bikes and equipment for a short season of life, families opt in to the swap to get the right size from the start. When your kid’s ready for the next size, bring the bike back and we’ll swap it. You leave with the next size up, and we send the original out with the next family. Kids’ confidence and bike handling skills grow with them and we keep bikes out of the waste stream—all while saving you time, money, and frustration. Win-win.

The Bike Oasis will open on-site at the Bike Swap. Picture a gathering space nestled between Pendleton Heights’ Pocket Park and the Community Garden. In the coming months we will install bike racks, a bike repair station, seating, and shade.
