An event from BikeWalkKC
Want to learn how to ride a bike? Join us for a one hour group learn-to-ride class for youth and adults ages 5 and up. The class will be led by expert BikeWalkKC education instructors in a relaxed, encouraging setting. Our method does not utilize training wheels and teaches participants the basics of balancing, starting, stopping and steering a bike, as well as proper helmet fit and adjustment. Most people learn to ride their bike while taking the class, but even if they don’t, they will leave with tips to continue teaching themselves to ride. Meet in the St. Teresa's Academy south parking lot (along 57th and Main Street in KCMO).*
Choose a session that fits in your schedule. Register today, because capacity for each group is limited!
Youth must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
Helmets are required for this class when on a bike! You're welcome to bring your own bike and helmet to the class, but please ensure your bike is in safe mechanical condition, as we will not have time to repair your bike. Don't have a bike or a helmet? No worries, we have bikes and helmets you can borrow to use in the class.
*In the event this class is canceled due to inclement weather, we will provide a make-up session the following day on Tuesday, June 30th same time, same place. We will try to give you a minimum of 24 hours advance notice if the class will be canceled due to forecasted inclement weather. You may also request a refund.
