Women-Only Confident City Cycling
BikeWalkKC’s popular Women-Only Confident City Cycling series returns for its final installment in 2017. Join us in a safe and supportive place to learn bike handling skills, rules of the road, and other tips and tricks – all skill levels are welcome – taught by women, for women.
When: Confident City Cycling is a three-class series held on Thursday evenings in October from 6:00-8:30PM:
- October 5,
- October 12, and
- October 19.
What: Learn new concepts for navigating streets and build practical bike handling skills necessary for city riding. This intensive series teaches safety knowledge and bike handling skills, culminating with a group bike ride in a safe and supporting environment.
This class is great for:
- New cyclists
- Bike commuters
- Ride leaders
- Transportation professionals
- Anyone who wants to lead adult or youth bike training
Become a cycling instructor
This class uses the Traffic Skills 101 curriculum, a prerequisite for becoming a League Certified Instructor (LCI) with the League of American Bicyclists. Attendance at all nine hours is required for prospective instructors.
