Women+ Confident City Cycling
October 1, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Women Bike KC is an initiative of BikeWalkKC that provides education, resources and encouragement to get more women, trans, femme, and non-binary people on bicycles and ultimately participate in our community as riders and leaders.
In this 3-session course, you’ll learn state and local rules for urban bicycling, and how to fix a flat, and get real-world practice in riding on the street. Our experienced instructors guide the class at your pace so you feel comfortable and confident on your bike!
- Day 1: Tuesday, October 1 6-8:30PM (Discussion day- bike facilities, how to drive around bikes/bike around cars, etc. No bike needed)
- Day 2: Tuesday, October 8 6-8:30PM (Bring your bike)
- Day 3: Tuesday, October 15 6-8:30PM (Bring your bike)
NOTE: Day 1 is open to both bicyclists and people who aren’t interested in biking, but are interested in learning more about bicycle facilities and how bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers share the road. Bicyclists should plan to attend all three days.
This course is appropriate for adults, and we welcome teens 14+ with an adult.
Registration is FREE for BikeWalkKC members, $10 for non-members. Learn more about BikeWalkKC membership and how you can get free classes.
Helmets are required, but we’re happy to loan you one if you need it. Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
