An event from BikeWalkKC
What if you could live in your favorite children's picture book?
(Very limited capacity-- get your tickets now!)
BikeWalkKC Members are invited to The Rabbit hOle for an evening of out-of-the-box thinking and creative exploration. In The Rabbit hOle's immersive, multi-sensory landscape, we will find inspiration in imaginative children's literature and dream of real-life communities that foster joy and connection.
- What lessons can we learn from Uptown (Steptoe, 1970) about how the people and places in our communities influence our dreams for the future?
- How can we adopt the relentless resourcefulness and optimism from Fortunately (Charlip, 1964) to overcome barriers to building safer streets?
Besides these big questions, you'll also get to explore a Curious George diorama in executed in stunning detail, a clever mechanical mouse-on-a-bike in the Anatole exhibit, and more. Then follow us down the street to VeloGarage afterwards to share your big ideas over a beer or soft drink.
Walking Through The Rabbit hOle is perfect for BikeWalkKC Members who are interested in public art, beautiful and functional neighborhoods, and finding new ways to make our cities work for us.
The Rabbit hOle is wheelchair-accessible with elevators, rampways, and ADA exits and entrances. Strollers are not allowed in the museum area.
