Break out the peanuts and Cracker Jack: we're riding to the Royals vs. Astros game! Two groups (one from KCMO and one from Lee's Summit) will ride together and meet up at Kauffman Stadium.
- Ride from KCMO: The KCMO crew will meet at Kauffman Gardens and ride the Brush Creek and Blue River Trails to Kauffman stadium. KCMO riders have an option to rent a RideKC electric bike (limited availability).
- Ride from Lee's Summit: The Lee's Summit crew will meet at Hartman Park and ride the Rock Island Trail to Kauffman stadium.
Both riding groups are getting an early start to allow for a slow, social pace and some tailgating (bring your own food and beverages). After the game, the groups will ride together and end back at their respective starting locations before sunset. Both groups will be "no-drop," which means that everyone rides together and there will be a ride leader to "sweep" at the back of the group. Registration for Ride to the Royals covers the cost of your game ticket and BikeWalkKC's ride insurance.
