Ride of Silence

THE RIDE OF SILENCE WILL NOT BE QUIET

On Wed. May 15th, 2024 at 7:00 PM, the Ride of Silence will traverse and unite the globe as nothing before it. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves.

  • Meet at 6:30 p.m. at 192 W 62 Terrace (Trolley Trail Entrance). NOTE: Please do not part in Cosentino's Market lot. Use public parking or ride to the start.
  • The names of those who lost their lives while riding their bicycles will be read during a brief ceremony followed by ride protocol, and safety instructions.
  • The 6 mile ride starts at 7:00 p.m. and will return at about 8:00 p.m. Riders of all abilities are invited to join the procession. The group will ride in a slow, silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.
