Project Living Proof Tour 2-23-23

This event is sold out, but the waitlist is open! The orange "Register Now" button will take you to Eventbrite, where you can click the red "Get Tickets" button to add your contact info to the waitlist  and be automatically notified if a ticket becomes available.

You may bike to work, or perhaps buy your veggies from the farmers market, but how energy efficient is your home? Bike WalkKC members are invited for a special tour of the Metropolitan Energy Center's Project Living Proof, a historic home that has been retrofitted with energy efficient systems to prove that energy efficient updates to older homes are possible and affordable.

BikeWalkKC envisions a sustainable Kansas City, where our air is cleaner and our streets are safer. The Metropolitan Energy Center supports #PlacesforPeople by promoting cleaner transportation, building standards, and lifestyles.

From the basement to the attic, homeowners will learn how to reduce their energy consumption and costs; and renters will get tips for how to advocate for improvements with their landlord. Plus, hear about government programs that make those updates more affordable. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The Project Living Proof Tour is open to BikeWalkKC members and their families, and space is very limited. Use your BikeWalkKC member code to access the hidden tickets! Need help with your member code? Send us an email at

Note: Accessibility for people with disabilities is limited at Project Proof. Please contact the Metropolitan Energy Center for details:
