The Gillham Complete Streets project was the first of its kind in Kansas City, Missouri: four miles of protected, two-way cycle track through residential and business districts. When the construction dust settled, BikeWalkKC started asking questions: Do more people walk and bike along this corridor? Has the new infrastructure impacted safety? What lessons should planners and city leaders take away from this process?
With the support of the Menorah Heritage Foundation and dozens of volunteers, we are pleased to announce that the data is IN! Join us for a discussion of our Gillham Complete Streets Report with BikeWalkKC staff. We'll talk data, community engagement, and political pressures to share a contextual review of the Gillham Complete Streets project and our findings.
Can't make the live Zoom event? Register anyway and we will send you a link to the recording! This event is perfect for urban planners, community leaders, municipal staff, and anyone who wants a brighter future for their neighborhood.
