Let’s Talk: Black Girls Do Bike

May 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Jennifer Lindsey knew she couldn't be the only Black woman who rides bikes in Kansas City, but she rarely encountered other women of color on the trails or at group rides. She started started a Kansas City chapter of Black Girls Do Bike to meet other Black women bicyclists and to establish visible "roll models" for people who might not see themselves represented in mainstream cycling.

BikeWalkKC's Lati Horton talks to Jennifer about culture, representation, and finding your bliss on a bike. This is a great event for people who support a strong and diverse Kansas City bicycling scene.

This virtual event is FREE and donations are gratefully accepted. All donations for this event will go towards scholarships for people from underrepresented communities to become League Cycling Instructors.
