KCMO PIAC Hearings: District 1

The primary function of the Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) is to solicit resident input and makerecommendations regarding both the citywide and neighborhood portions of the capital budget. The PIAC holds a series of public hearings every year.
Neighborhoods use PIAC funds to support planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure. This often includes projects like traffic calming measures such as new crosswalks or speed tables at an intersection, storm water drainage improvements, streetscapes, and playground equipment. PIAC hearings are important opportunities to engage in the KCMO budget process and advocate for the projects your community wants to see implemented. If you value healthy, connected neighborhoods and active living, please participate in your Council District’s PIAC hearings.
