October 9 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

An event from Sunrise Movement KC

Sunrise Movement KC is organizing a Bus Riders Town Hall on Thursday, October 9 from 6-8 pm at St. Mark’s Church (3800 Troost Ave, KCMO). Bus riders from across the city are invited to join together to learn about people power, and how people power can be used to seek changes in our bus system to reflect a bus system that is best for the people of Kansas City.

Whether you ride the bus once a day or once a month, you are invited!

Accessibility

  • Dinner and water will be provided.
  • Limited childcare will be available for up to 10 children. Coloring books and snacks will be provided. Please indicate on the registration form if you need childcare!

Why support Better Buses?

Kansas City’s car-dependent infrastructure hurts everyone, but it hurts the most vulnerable people in our community the most. Car ownership and maintenance is expensive. Roads and highways have torn neighborhoods into pieces and led to a sprawling and inaccessible city. And pollution from cars damages our health and hurts the environment. A functional bus system is the fastest and most effective way to begin undoing those harms.
