KCMO Budget Virtual Public Meeting

The proposed budget has been released in KCMO! This enormous document lays out what the city plans to fund for the next fiscal year starting May 1st. Everything from housing and stormwater to public art and emergency services is included. There’s also funding for transportation.

All attendees will hear from the Mayor and City Council and will be provided an overview of the Submitted Budget document by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). All attendees will have the opportunity to address the Council.

To provide public testimony virtually, please register by emailing public.testimony@kcmo.org with your name and Council District. Please put “Proposed Budget – Speaking Request” in the subject line. If you are unable to email, please use the "raise hand" function within the video call to be called on for testimony. In-person testimony will have a sign-in process at the City Hall Council Chambers.

The 2022-23 FY budget will be submitted to the Mayor and City Council on Feb. 10. The budget will be adopted by Council on March 24, 2022.

The 2021-22 FY budget was submitted to the Mayor and City Council on Feb. 11. The budget will be adopted by Council on March 25, 2021.
