Intersections of Neighborhood Health

July 9, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join BikeWalkKC for a conversation with Dina Newman, Director of UMKC's Center for Neighborhoods. Walking and biking are important to the health of our communities, along with many other things like access to health care, crime and personal safety, housing security, cultural opportunities, and education. This conversation will be about this broad concept of community health, and the state of neighborhoods before and during the pandemic.

As the Center for Neighborhood's first Director, Dina Newman collaborates with faculty on the Center’s curriculum development, programs, technical assistance, community engagement, development and outreach, fundraising, grant writing and leadership development training.

Similar to many non-profits and small businesses, BikeWalkKC’s financial sustainability has been threatened by the COVID-19 outbreak. If you are able to, please consider making a donation or purchasing a membership for yourself, your household, or your organization. Any amount helps, and we appreciate your support at this difficult time.
