Greens, Beans, and Bikes!

July 23, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Ivanhoe is a cornucopia of community!

BikeWalkKC members are invited to a special bike tour of urban agriculture in the Ivanhoe neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. After leaving BikeWalkKC, we will stop at Young Family Farm, where three generations work together to promote healthy connections with land and with their neighbors. At Ivanhoe Farmer's Market, we will meet market manager Tovah Tanner to learn more about how neighborhood growers and makers are building community. And we'll finish up back at BikeWalkKC to sample some nibbles from the market!

  • You are invited to shop at Young Family Farm and Ivanhoe Farmer's Market! Both sellers take cash, card, Venmo, and Cashapp, and they double SNAP and Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Vouchers
  • Bring a basket or a backpack to carry all your veggies and maker goods home with you
  • All ages are welcome-- gardens are wonderful places for children
  • Everyone is invited attend the Growing Community in Ivanhoe virtual event on July 19 to learn more about how the neighborhood's agricultural leaders are creating places for people!

Greens, Beans, and Bikes! is open to BikeWalkKC members and their families, and space is very limited. Use your BikeWalkKC member code* to register now to save your spot!
