Gear Up! for Kids supports BikeWalkKC! How? Your generous donation purchases bike gear for kids enrolled in the Earn-A-Bike Program, sponsored by BikeWalkKC.
Here’s how the program works: after kids successfully complete the mechanics, maintenance, and safety lessons of the Earn-A-Bike course, they are given a new helmet and the bike they helped to fix! Extra funding is needed for gear such as locks, lights, tires, tubes, pumps and packs, so we are geared up to help!
Gear Up! for Kids is a 28 mile awesome bike ride through the city. We’ll take off from The Big Rip Brewery, with stops at KC Bier and Torn Label, then return to The Rip for brews and hanging with friends. It will be a fantastic day riding with friends for a great cause!
Now, we don’t have any fancy giveaways, but your money will go to buy great gear so kids can ride safely, exercise something other than their video thumbs, and learn to love bike riding for life!

$5 = Lock
$25 = Headlight, Tail Light, Lock
$50 = Headlight, Tail Light, Tire, Tube, Lock, Multi Tool Kit
$75 = Pump, Pack, Tire, Tube, Lock
