E-Bike the Blue

Heartland Conservation Alliance is thrilled to partner with BikeWalkKC for our inaugural E-Bike the Blue event. This unique collaboration blends sustainable transportation with local conservation, inviting you to experience the Blue River Parkway in a new way!

If you’ve been curious about how electric bikes can transform your commute or your weekend adventures, this is your chance to get in the saddle. Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or haven't ridden in years, come try out an e-bike!

What to Expect:

• Guided Trial Sessions: Join our guides for 30-minute introductory rides designed to give you a taste of what an e-bike feels like.
• Paved trail: We will be hosting our inaugural trial rides on the paved Blue River Parkway trail extension, and additionally exploring the new extension!

Event Details:

• Registration: To ensure everyone gets a turn, please register for a specific time slot and arrive promptly for your scheduled ride. Because bikes are reserved in advance, we can only guarantee availability during your selected window.
• Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time slot.
• Safety First: Helmets are required for all riders.
• Gear: BikeWalkKC will have helmets available to borrow, but we highly recommend bringing your own for the best fit and maximum comfort!
• Age requirement: Must be over the age of 18 to participate!

What to Bring:

• Plenty of water appropriate for your needs and weather conditions. There will be no running water on site. Please help us stay green by bringing your own water bottle!
• Sunscreen and/or bug spray as appropriate.
• Long pants and close toed shoes are highly recommended to protect against bugs.

Note that there are public restrooms on site, but they can be locked and are not always reliable. Please keep this in mind and plan accordingly.
