Bikeways & Trails Plan open house – Central KCMO

Kansas City is providing several community open house opportunities to discuss the future of bikeways and trails! There will be three public engagement opportunities: one in South Kansas City, one in Central Kansas City and one in North Kansas City.

Central Kansas City

When: Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Where: Kansas City Public Library: Plaza Branch (4801 Main Street)

This project aims to understand community preferences related to bikeways, mobility lanes, and trails in Kansas City. At the open house, residents can help the project team understand 

  • strengths and weaknesses in the current system,
  • identify gaps in the system, and 
  • understand what current routes need improvement. 

This is an in-person, open house style public meeting for the community to view data and provide comments on existing conditions. No formal presentations will be made. Please attend the meeting any time during the advertised hours. Verbal and written public comments will be taken during the meeting and considered as the project develops.

North Kansas City
When: Monday, May 4, 2026 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM
Where: Line Creek Community Center (5940 NW Waukomis Drive)

South Kansas City
When: Monday, May 11, 2026 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM
Where: Hillcrest Community Center (10401 Hillcrest Road)
