2nd Annual WRA Roller Races

The Women’s Racing Association (WRA), a group of local cyclists working to promote women’s bike racing, is hosting roller races on January 6th at Cinder Block Brewery.

They will hold both a men’s and a women’s tournament bracket with a $10 entry donation. (Check their Facebook page for more details about the bracket.)

Before the tournament begins and between tournament rounds we will hold grudge matches. Call out one of your friends or frienemys to race head to head for bragging rights ($5).

Funds raised at the event will allow the WRA to host events for local female cyclists and support first-timer racers as they try out the sport.

Wondering what a Roller Race is? Two stationary bikes are set up for two racers to sprint a specified “distance” as fast as they can which usually takes 25-35 seconds.
