Local Advisory Committees

Several communities in the metro area have citizen advisory committees that provide input to their City Councils on bike/pedestrian issues, policies, and plans. These are great opportunities for individuals to have a voice in local decision-making, and even volunteer time serving on a committee.

MARC’s regional advisory committee is made up primarily of bike/pedestrian professionals working for local cities, counties, and other public agencies. BikeWalkKC is one of the community-based organizations that are also represented on the committee.
