Bike Share in Kansas City

BikeWalkKC operates two exciting Bike Share systems designed for transportation, recreation, and exercise:

  • Pedal-Powered: Bike Share KC (aka Kansas City BCycle) includes a network of 42 kiosk-based bike share locations, including 240 bicycles, stretching from North Kansas City through KCMO and at Longview Lake. Click here for more information.
  • E-Powered: A new generation of electric-assist smart bikes, RideKC Bike is coming in 2019. A pilot test begins in January, with more bikes added weekly through Spring 2019. Click here for more information.

Bike Share Equity
Ensuring that bike share is available to everyone is a core part of BikeWalkKC’s mission. In 2014 we developed a Bike Share Equity Plan, and in Summer 2018 we launched our Bike Share For All program with the support of The H & R Block Foundation and the Health Forward Foundation. Click here for more information.

Transit Integration
Combining RideKC bus passes with Bike Share memberships will give riders one card to access both services, simplifying transfers between the two modes. The two organizations are currently pilot testing a combined transit/bike share pass, and plan to launch the new program this fall. Integrated transit passes are also important part of our Bike Share For All equity program. Click here for more information.
