SUMMARY:Walktober: Rock Island Trail
DESCRIPTION:Walk\, ride or run a different trail every Sunday in October! The month of October is ideal for exercising outside ~ the temperatures are cool and the colors are spectacular. Walktober makes the most of this great season by inviting participants on a tour of autumn’s most vibrant landscapes and inspiring everyone to make movement a priority!! Dogs on leashes are welcome. Commemorative Walktober buttons\, designed by artist Kevin Worley\, for the first 200 participants at each location. Attend all five events and collect all five designs!  \nThe new Rock Island Trail segment includes three new trailheads and parking areas\, the preservation and re-use of four former railroad bridges and five new trail-only bridges\, including the new Wildwood Bridge\, which at over 300 feet in length is one of the longest trail bridges in the region.
