SUMMARY:Public Meeting for Kaw River Bike/Ped Connector Bridge June 22nd
DESCRIPTION:Could an abandoned railroad bridge next to Kemper Arena become a landmark destination and a bi-state trail connection?\nThis old railroad bridge in the West Bottoms is being studied for re-use as a bike/ped connector over the Kaw River and a new landmark public space uniquely situated above the river linking KCK and KCMO. The public meeting on June 22nd will focus a big-picture for the bridge’s re-use\, and is a great opportunity to learn about and participate in the first stage of planning for this project. \nKaw River Bike/Ped Connector Bridge Public Meeting\nThursday\, June 22nd\, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\nHale Arena at the American Royal\n1701 American Royal Ct\, KCMO\n(Parking in Lot B) \nThis project is led by the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City\, KS with participation by the City of KCMO and the Mid-America Regional Council.
