SUMMARY:Heart Healthy Day at Bar K **
DESCRIPTION:Bar K\, the new indoor dog park and lounge in the West Bottoms\, will hold a “Heart Healthy Day” on April 9 in partnership with the American Heart Association and OneLife Fitness. \nThe event will feature a full slate of activities for Kansas Citians and their dogs\, including a dog-friendly 5K that will start and finish at the Bar K Lab\, located at 515 Liberty Street in the West Bottoms\, and take runners across the Kansas River and around Kaw Point. \nThe full schedule of events at Heart Healthy Day at Bar K includes the following: \n9:00 am – Doggy Bootcamp – Workout with your dog\, led by OneLife Fitness (register at OneLife) \n9:45 am – “Dynamic Warm-Up” for 5K run \n10:00 am – 2nd Annual Bar K 5K (register at http://www.bark5k.com) \n11:00 am – Post-Race Party Featuring Live Music from Duncan Hill and the Electric Prairie Surfers \n10:00-4:00 – Open Play in Bar K’s Indoor Dog Park \nThe event will feature an array of local vendors exhibiting pet-related and wellness-related products and services\, as well as food trucks\, music and more.  Attendance at the event is free\, although participation in the 5K\, Doggy Bootcamp and indoor dog park require a separate registration fee.  A portion of the revenue from the event will benefit the American Heart Association.  More info can be found here:  https://www.barkdogbar.com/calendar/2017/4/9/heart-healthy-day-at-bar-k
