Streetcar – Main Street Phase 2

Main Street is a great opportunity to create new bike connections to Downtown, Westport, Country Club Plaza, and UMKC/Rockhurst. This corridor has the city's greatest concentration of people, jobs, cultural attractions, and destinations.

Broadway Alternative

Main Street is an example of a corridor where it might work better to use a nearby adjacent street for the bike route. Here is what a bike route on Broadway could look like. Planning and engineering for parallel bike routes can easily be included in the engineering for the overall streetcar project to ensure a well-integrated system.
