DESCRIPTION:Learn more		\n			\n	\n\n\n \n\nA Tour de Lakes event \nEnjoy one of the premier rides in the Kansas City metro. Choose four different routes around five different lakes. Full supported SAG’s (Support and Gear stops) and great lunch after the ride! The ride is on June 22\, 2024\, at 7am. \nTour de Lakes is a bike ride in memory of Tom Logan\, who believed there was nothing like a “great bike ride” with friends. Tom was born in Sedalia\, Missouri\, and attended NE Missouri State on a track scholarship. He taught and coached at East High School and The Barstow School. Tom’s love of running led him to a job as a sales rep for Nike. His “dessert” at the end of a busy day was coaching his sons Brett\, Jay\, and Ryan and their friends in soccer. Tom Logan … husband\, father\, friend\, and coach … passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 after suffering an aortic dissection. We miss you\, Tom. \nThe Tour de Lakes is seeking riders\, volunteers\, sponsors\, and donors.\nTour de Lakes revenue goes to the Legacy for Parks Foundation. The Foundation serves the community by procuring funds and resources to develop\, enhance and sustain Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation amenities. DESCRIPTION:Tour de Lakes Tom Logan Memorial Bike Ride is in memory of Tom Logan\, a Lee’s Summit bike enthusiast. Thanks to many passionate friends and family\, Tour de Lakes has become an annual bike riding event around the many lakes in Eastern Jackson County. \nIt will take place Saturday\, June 22\, 2019. It all starts at the Longview Recreation Center located at View High and Third Street\, Lee’s Summit\, MO near NE Longview. The ride starts at 7:00 A.M. rain or shine. The route will be marked and maps are available online and at registration. There is a 10 mile ride around Longview Lake\, a 32* and 55* mile ride including Longview\, Raintree and Lakewood Lakes\, or a 65* mile ride touring those plus Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo (* mileage and routes subject to change). \nTour de Lakes is a fully supported ride. The cost of the ride is $25 ($20 for riders under 13) if registered by June 27\, and $30 ($25 for riders under 13) the day of the ride. Each rider must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult. Everyone must wear an approved bicycle helmet during the ride and have a waiver form signed before the ride. Proceeds from Tour de Lakes will benefit the Legacy for Parks Foundation.

DESCRIPTION:Tour de Lakes is an annual bike riding event around the many lakes in Eastern Jackson County\, Missouri. Tour de Lakes encompasses five area lakes — Longview\, Raintree\, Lakewood\, Blue Springs and Jacomo — and passes through the cities of Kansas City\, Lee’s Summit\, Greenwood and Blue Springs. \nThe ride begins at the Longview Recreation Center at Longview Community College\, rain or shine. Riders may choose a 10 mile ride around Longview Lake\, a 30 mile ride including Longview and Raintree Lakes or a 65 mile ride touring all five lakes. The route is always marked; a map is provided at registration and Lee’s Summit Sunrise Rotarians are posted along the route to cheer on the cyclists. \nTour de Lakes proceeds benefit the Legacy For Parks Foundation\, whose mission is to help promote and insure continued growth and enhancement of the facilities and services of the Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Department.
