DESCRIPTION:The Kansas City community is invited to join the 12th annual Kansas City Ride of Silence. Kansas City riders will join cyclists across the globe in taking to the roads in a slow\, silent procession to honor those who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. \nAlthough cyclists have a legal right to ride on public streets and roads\, the motoring public often isn’t aware of these rights\, and sometimes unaware of the cyclists themselves. The Ride of Silence is a free event that asks its cyclists to remain silent. DESCRIPTION:Summer Breeze is the last big ride of summer and you won’t want to miss it… especially this year! We have lots of exciting primo new road to share with you. Low traffic\, scenic countryside\, you and your friends = awesomeness on a beautiful summer day! \nParking at Longview Community College (registration/check-in will be across the street in New Longview behind Gusto Coffee Bistro — see below for details!) \nSunday\, August 27\, 2017. Heading south and then to the east and back in a series of well-thought-out\, picturesque loops\, this will be a new version of Summer Breeze. Featuring all of the road-riding-goodness you loved in the past while including some new sections of pristine pavement and gentle rollers. \nThe sags will be on point and hungry riders will be met at the end of the ride with a chef-prepared brunch that will include goodies from our friends at Gusto Coffee and entertainment that will have you Jammin’ while you enjoy a delicious craft beer from our friends at Coop Ale Works. \nSummer Breeze is a family-friendly event not to be missed! \nChoose from 100 miles\, 90 miles\, 70 miles\, 50 miles or a relaxed 30-mile tour.\nCKC ride marshals will also be on hand with tips and help for new cyclists. DESCRIPTION:Join Cycling Kansas City as we celebrate another successful year at the 2017 Annual Meeting and Banquet February 25\, 2017. The banquet will be held at Black on Burlington located just over the “Heart of America” bridge in North Kansas City on the Northeast corner of 13th and Burlington.\nDoors open at 5:30 PM with a cash bar\, reception and new this year\, caricature artist to capture your best cycling expressions! Dinner\, a short business meeting and speakers follow. The evening will wrap up with the silent auction and door prizes.\nAdvanced registration is required – $40; $45 after January 31.
