In-School, At-Home, and Virtual Options
Looking for ways to keep your kids active and healthy during the pandemic? Are you interested in bicycle and pedestrian safety training that can be done near your home, at your kids’ school, or with your learning pod? BikeWalkKC can help!
Virtual, Online

BikeWalkKC has developed a series of short videos so you can watch and learn with your kids. Options include helmet fitting, fixing a flat tire, the ABC Quick Check, pedestrian safety, and more.

For deeper, more personalized learning, we can develop live instruction via Zoom classes for your learning pod, neighborhood, or school.

We provide interactive programs that allow kids to learn from the safety of home or school while being able to ask questions, get help, and share with others.

Customized, Hands-On

BikeWalkKC’s Bicycle Lesson & Safety Training (BLAST) and Earn-a-Bike programs offer hands-on training for youth aged 8 and up to learn bike handling, basic maintenance, and confidence. Kids enjoy learning healthy life skills while getting the recommended 50 minutes of physical activity each day.

Can be offered in-school with your local PE teacher, or in your neighborhood.

Content may include:

  • Walking School Bus/sidewalk studies
  • Bicycle rules of the road
  • Maintain Your Ride
  • Hand signals and hazard maneuvering
