10th Annual Community Development Workshop

June 22, 2022 - June 25, 2022

The Community Development Workshop (CDW) is presented in partnership with several Kansas City, MO and Kansas City, KS nonprofits. The workshop has provided an annual opportunity to learn with leaders in community development, collaborate with other neighborhood change-makers, and be empowered to transform your community. The CDW is open to anyone who is seeking to make a positive change in their neighborhood and community. Hosted since 2013, the CDW is for neighborhood, government, and nonprofit leaders, residents, grassroots activists, and community and neighborhood stakeholders from both Kansas and Missouri.

This year, the CDW seeks to ReIMAGINE what community development looks like and provide a much-needed respite and invigoration to these leaders. As a participant of the 2022 CDW, you will get an on-site immersive experience touring the workspaces of our community change- makers.

During the workshop, we will provide a new look at community development with a small group, in-person immersive experiences that will explore community development through the lenses of: Climate Action, Youth Involvement, Neighborhoods, Health Equity, Small Businesses

Join us to ReIMAGINE community development in Kansas City!

BikeWalkKC is proud to join our partners in the Community Development Workshop. Michael Kelley and Tresa Carter will present "Neighborhood-centered Policy Solutions: How to Design Equitable and Accessible Transportation" on Friday, June 24 at 1:30. Our session will include a hands-on tour of our Home Street Home exhibit and an interactive walk audit.
