Confident City Cycling in North Kansas City
August 20 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
In this FREE 3-session course, you’ll learn state and local rules for urban bicycling, and how to fix a flat, and get real-world practice in riding on the street. Our experienced instructors guide the class at your pace so you feel comfortable and confident on your bike!
- Day 1: Tuesday, August 20th 6-9PM (Discussion day- new NKC facilities, how to drive around bikes/bike around cars, etc. No bike needed)
- Day 2: Tuesday, August 27th 6-9PM (Bring your bike)
- Day 3: Saturday, September 7th 11:30-2:30PM (Bring your bike) Come early and check out the final draft of the NKC Bike Master Plan! The City is hosting an open house at Parks & Rec from 9:30-11:30.
NOTE: Day 1 is open to both bicyclists and people who aren’t interested in biking, but are interested in learning more about bicycle facilities and how bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers share the road. Bicyclists should plan to attend all three days.
This course is appropriate for adults, and we welcome teens 14+ with an adult.
