As part of the city’s ongoing efforts to implement the Complete Streets ordinance and the Vision Zero policy, the KCMO Public Works Department is embarking on an effort to make Avenida Cesar E Chavez better for people who walk, roll, and bike.
The proposed project would bring key multimodal improvements to the street between Summit Street and State Line Road near HyVee Arena, including:
- Traffic calming
- Improved pedestrian crossings
- A two-way cycle track
The city will also hold a virtual meeting to discuss the project further and answer questions from the general public. More information can be found below:
