Register for the KC Women’s Bike Summit

Everyone here at BikeWalkKC is very excited for the very first KC Women’s Bike Summit. We are all hard at work finalizing everything to make sure this year’s event is a success. We invite women of all skill levels, ages and backgrounds to join us at the Kauffman Foundation on May 10 and empower more women to ride bikes!

Register and donate to get a free, custom Timbuk2 bag!

The first 200 individuals to register and donate at least $25 will receive a complimentary, custom Timbuk2 bag. The Kauffman Foundation has generously agreed to host the summit at its center at 48th and Rockhill Road. Although walk-up registrations are allowed, no money is allowed to exchange hands on the premises, due to the Kauffman’s policies. Therefore, if you wish to donate, you have to do so by May 9.

Register online here.

Timbuk2 bags have been graciously provided by the City of Kansas City, Mo. bicycle pedestrian program – Bike KC

Meet the Women of Women Bike KC

Kansas City is filled with inspiring women who ride bikes, work with bikes, and love bikes. We spoke with twelve local women about their experience cyling, the unique challenges of riding in Kansas City, and how we can work together to get more women on bikes. We’ve released a new profile of a local female cyclist each week. No two women who bike are the same–we’ve talked to everyone from the car light mom to the teenage competive cyclist. Meet these women on our Women Bike KC Profiles page.
